In January, 2008 we began our spay/neuter voucher program. The vouchers cost $20 (cash only) for cats and $30 for dogs and are limited to 2 per household. Hopefully these vouchers will help to make a small dent in the cat and dog overpopulation. This program will be available until the funding runs out.

We are unable to accept adult cats here any longer since many of the kittens that we accept will grow up here and have to be moved to the adult pens.

We were able to find homes for some older dogs this year and have been extremely encouraged by that. Jasper, a miniature schnauzer was 10-12 years old and is doing great in his new home.

Seems like this has been a big year for things to break down around here. We’ve had some well problems and have had to replace leach lines for our septic system. Looks like we’ll be replacing some water lines in the near future since those we have now are filled with sediment and we have very little water pressure.
